Recommended Card Games
The Beannie Game is a bit of a Piddinghoe favourite, so always welcome at the table. Which is suprising really as we should hate it. No stitching up (well, not much). No opportunities for hilarious mis-plays (well, not many). And plenty of cooperative moves. I'll help you if you help me. I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine. And you can have this card for free if you want. I'm not sure if giving away useful cards is the normal way to play this game mind you. We had a very bemused spectator on a ferry once while we were doing this. Maybe we're just too nice.
Andy did provide plenty of comedy moments by forgetting to pick up three new cards. Constantly. He remembered on the final turn, so obviously can be taught. Shame we weren't playing The Bucket Game, or he'd never have had a card in his hands.
The astute reader will have seen through my cunning plan, distracting attention away from the fact that I haven't actually written anythign about the game. Well spotted. A list of who swapped what for which would have been very dull so I've resisted all temptation to do it. And obviously couldn't remember most of the swaps if I tried. I do remember that nobody bought a third field. In fact I can't remember the last time anybody did. I've almost forgotten that it's an option now.
Oh, Tel won.
